The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
What began as a thirty-week journey through the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises became something much bigger: a holy shift in the way I see the world.
The Spiritual Exercises are a centuries-old journey of prayer and reflection created by St. Ignatius of Loyola to help people discover God’s presence in everyday life. Rather than simply reading Scripture, Ignatius invites us to step into the story, listen with our hearts, and learn to find God in all things. Holy Shift! is my journal from that journey.
These aren’t sermons or Bible studies. They’re honest reflections from a fellow traveler discovering God in coffee cups, choir rehearsals, Broadway musicals, gardening, difficult conversations, road trips, caregiving, and all the beautiful, messy moments in between.
My hope isn’t to give you answers, it’s to invite you to slow down, pay attention, and discover that God has been walking beside you all along. Because sometimes the holiest shift isn’t changing your life, it’s seeing the life you’ve already been given with new eyes.
Finding God in the Sacred Ordinary

A collection of personal reflections where Scripture meets everyday life. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality, these journal entries invite you to slow down, notice God’s presence, and discover the sacred hidden within the ordinary.
